Most Embarrassing Moment(s)

My blogger friend Valerie at It's a Wonderful Life did an embarrassing moment blog and I decided to do it too. Only, I have two very distinct moments that just pop into my head that will be forever etched on my brain.

Moment #1.
My daughter Jackie needed to get her first training bra. I had been putting it off for quite some time because I just could not deal with it. So one day we finally went to K-mart and as we are looking for bras I am looking around and over my shoulder because I don't want anyone to see me doing this. We pick out a few and she goes to try them on. When she calls me in the dressing room I start to hyperventilate. I am actually sweating and getting faint at the site of my little baby girl in a BRA. I am trying be mature and mommy like, trying to see that they fit properly but come on, how can a training bra NOT FIT. Anyway, we get two bras and I toss them into the BIG HUGE EMPTY CART and I just can't bring my self to go to the counter plop down two bras. Sooooooo, I wander around the women's section and I pick out the first coat I see that is big enough to through in the cart and cover the entire bottom of it. Hide bras and no one knows I have them........clever, very clever. I continued to hide bras by the coat at the check out. It was one of the LONGEST days of my life..... UPDATE: Ladies, I still have that coat actually and recently put it out for the goodwill.....it's time to move on lol.

Moment #2.
I was standing in the checkout line at the supermarket and was rummaging through my purse for my brush. Just as I grab my brush and whip it out of my purse, out flies a UFO, is it a bird, plane, no its a thin Kotex maxi pad that had been caught on the teeth of the brush! It flew clear across to the next isle. Well, I was mortified as you can imagine. There is just no excuse to cover THAT one up. I did NOT want to go and retrieve it either. I did but I was secretly hoping that if I stayed where I was everyone would forget about the UFO they just saw.

What is your most embarrassing moment or moments?

Your #2 moment would be embarrasing for me too. Aren't you glad that it didn't land in someone's cart? lol

My most recent moment was when I was at a Thai restaurant and commented on the owner striking heavy gold necklace. I asked "Oh is that a sword?" He took it off for me to examine and a closer look revealed a mans er um well ya know. I just politely handed it back to him and listened to my husband roar.

Those were funny embarrassing moments. Well not for you I know. lol Oh and so was Laura Ingalls Gunn. I would be mortified under both of yours and hers moments.

My nephew is such a wonderful young man. I have been slacking in keeping in touch with him due to all the health stuff I have had going on. But he is still in constant talks with my sisters and his father. I plan to get back as soon as my mind stops thinking about it late at night. lol Thanks for asking Melody.

I came over here from Michelle's blog after seeing your commment about the black box around the pictures. Then I read your #2 moment and I am cracking up, then I read Laura's comment and crack up even more and then almost forgot what I came over here for. LOL! Anyway, on my blog I always thought the black box was automatic when posting pictures, but after seeing yours I see they are not there. So now I am not sure how that happens. But when you click on Customize, maybe there is something in there that fixes that option. I will have to check and see for sure now. In the meantime, Happy Mother's Day and thank you for the laugh.

Happy Mother's Day Melody! From one mom to another, I hope you are enjoying your special day and being spoiled rotten!

Hi, I'm back. I was looking at the customize thingy. When you go to "Layout", then click on "Fonts and Colors". You will see a place for changing the colors for various things in your blog. There is one called "Border color". It is possible you have at at "white", which would be why you don't see the box around your pictures. Try changing that to another color like maybe pink or blue to coordinate with your background and see if you see boxes around your pictures.
Hope that helps!

I could deal with the bras. But, flying kotex! I would have died. LOL

Doing a post about it would be good. Maybe someone can explain it better. Sometimes I am not good at "esplaning". Is that how Dezi Arnaz said it?

You made my early morning smile bursting into laughter...alone! It's actually 12.50am in Kuala Lumpur.

I love you new page... it's been such a long time since I last visited and ... you have changed. I love the soft color.

I too have such moments... but not with bra and kotex!!!!! LOL!...

It was the sponge that I used on my shoulder... I like to use loose ones for easy washing. One day, after an important business meeting, as I got up from the chair and wounding up my last few words, one came loose from the bra strap and dropped to the floor!!!!!!! LOL........ Pretending it was just like a tissue paper, I picked it up and rushed to my car.... I was not sure if the other director recognized it....
